What do I do if an interior component malfunctions during my trip?

We are sorry that you encountered a malfunction during your trip.

🧰 We consider a malfunction an unanticipated technical problem in the rented vehicle that does not make it inoperative (examples: defective heating system, no hot water, problem with the TV, the fridge...).

Here's some advice:

  • Most of the time, a user manual is available in the camper to help you. You can check it out.
  • If not, contact the owner who will surely be able to help you out by phone 📞
  • You can also check out our advice in videos on YouTube (in French) or on our blog that offers articles (in French) about resolving the most common malfunctions.
  • If repairs are required, you must for the owner's permission before incurring any costs in a garage on the road. Remember to keep the invoice to present it to the owner when you return the vehicle so that they can reimburse you.

If the problem persists, consult the damages chart under "Malfunction" on our Rental Contract page (in French) so that you can agree on compensation directly with the owner when you return the vehicle. You must formalize this agreement on the End of Rental Report page in your rental contract (paper or app).

If the component functions when you return, or the malfunction resulted from incorrect use, no compensation is due.
